2 Types of CPU Sockets:

Land Grid Array (LGA) - socket has pins coming OUT of the motherboard
Pin Grid Array (PGA) - socket has holes where pins on CPU can be inserted

64-bit CPUs have more processing power and memory than their 32-bit predecessors
